Some more pics

So i thought 3 pictures to explain what i'd been up to over the last few months probably wasn't enough so here is some more.
First is a few beads i have made, and my first set, i really like them but they have a few imperfections. There no perfectly round and on one side of the focal it has a few bumps where the frit hasn't melted in properly.

I have been cross stitching this picture for my daughter for 3 years now and have finally finished it. I'm not sure what to do with it yet and probably won't make it up until we move (no still not sold the house :0() but shes a cutie.

And last is this pink necklace, i bought the focal a while ago but never got round to using it as i didn't know what to do with it as it is very 'pink'. But i think it has turned out ok and i really like the way the pink goes with the freshwater pearls.

So thats me until tomorrow when i'll upload some more pics.

  1. Hi Joanne, just catching up with everyone's blogs after what seems like an eternity away.

I'm glad it's not just me that finds pink a bit difficult to work with sometimes! It is hard to find colours that provide contrast yet don't overwhelm it. I think that necklace is really beautiful and the freshwater pearls work just perfectly with the pink!

Those beads are very pretty, too - the patterns make me think of birds' eggs. It's really exciting starting a new technique, isn't it - in a few months time (when we've sorted out my workspace) I'm going to be starting metalwork; just getting all the tools and materials together at the minute, not cheap!

  3. Love the necklace. . .
I need to use some of the tools my mum and dad have given me over te last couple of years.
I have an ultrasonic cleaner that needs to be taken out of the box and a rolling mill i'm scared of breaking as it's so long since I used one. . .
    xx
